Let’s talk about the question I get all the time…
“What do I even wear to a boudoir session?!”
Cue the spiral…
You open 17 tabs. Add 12 things to your cart. Second guess all of them. Close your laptop. Repeat the next night.
Girl… I see you. 😂
And I want you to take a deep breath, because I’m about to make this so much easier for you.
If you’re wondering what to wear to a boudoir session, especially here in New Hampshire, I’ve got you. This is your no-stress, actually-helpful guide to boudoir outfit ideas in NH… without the overwhelm.
First Things First… You Don’t Need to “Get It Perfect”
I’m going to say something that might surprise you…
The best outfit is not the most expensive one.
Not the trendiest one.
Not the one that looked amazing on someone else.
It’s the one you feel good in.
Because the way you feel in your outfit? That shows up in every single image.
I’ve had women walk in wearing a simple oversized sweater and absolutely own their session… and others come in with a full 5-piece set and feel a little stiff at first.
The difference isn’t the outfit.
It’s the connection.
So before we get into specifics… I want you to ask yourself:
How do I want to feel in my photos?
Soft and romantic?
Bold and powerful?
Playful and flirty?
That answer will guide everything else.
Let’s Talk Boudoir Outfit Ideas (That Actually Photograph Beautifully)
Now for the fun part…
There are so many directions you can go, which is why it can feel overwhelming. So let me break it down in a way that actually makes sense.
1. Bodysuits (Your Safe But Stunning Option)
If you’re not sure where to start… start here.
Bodysuits are flattering on pretty much everyone. They hug your curves, smooth things out, and photograph like a dream.
They’re that perfect balance of sexy and comfortable… which is exactly what you want.
2. Lingerie Sets (For That “Okayyy Confidence” Moment)
You know the ones…
The strappy sets. The garters. The lace.
These are so fun if you’re ready to lean into that energy a bit more. And don’t worry—you don’t need to know how to “pull it off.”
I’ll guide you the entire time.
3. The Unexpected Favorites
Here’s where things get interesting…
Some of the best outfits aren’t lingerie at all.
- An oversized white button-up
- Your partner’s work shirt
- A cozy flannel with knee-high socks
- A robe… or just the sheets
These pieces feel you. And that’s what makes them powerful.
“But What If I Pick the Wrong Thing?”
You won’t.
And even if you’re unsure… you are not doing this alone.
When you book your session with me, you get full access to my Studio Closet—and this is where the magic happens…
Think:
- Bodysuits
- Lingerie sets
- Robes
- Fishnets
- Dresses
- All the little extras that take your images from beautiful to unforgettable
We have sizes from XXS to 4XL… because every body deserves to feel like a freaking goddess.
And if you’re feeling a little spicy… you can even unlock bonus sets like:
- The bondage set
- Wet T-shirt set
- Just the sheets
- Honey set
So yeah… you’ve got options. 😉

My Favorite Lingerie Brands (That Actually Work)
Because let’s be honest… not all lingerie is created equal.
Here are some of my go-to brands that my clients love:
- Lounge Intimates
- Savage X Fenty
- Anthropologie
- Gooseberry
- Torrid
- Tutti Rouge
- Victoria’s Secret
- Yandy
- Honey Birdette
- ASOS
- Style Wanderlust
These brands tend to have better fit, better structure, and options for different body types… which makes a huge difference in how you feel.
Let’s Make This Easy… Here’s How to Choose Your Outfits
If you’re still sitting there like “okay but HOW do I pick”… I got you.
Step 1: Pick Your Colors + Vibe
Do you love soft neutrals? Dark and moody tones? Something bright and playful?
Start there.
Step 2: Choose 2–3 Outfit Styles
Maybe a bodysuit… a lingerie set… and something cozy.
That variety gives you different looks without overwhelming you.
Step 3: Add Personality
Heels. Jewelry. Socks. A jacket.
This is where you make it yours.
What NOT to Wear
(This Part Matters More Than You Think)
Okay… quick reality check moment.
On the day of your shoot, wear loose, comfy clothes to the studio.
Tight bras, underwear, and socks can leave marks on your skin… and those lines do show up in photos.
Think:
- Flowy dress
- Oversized sweater
- Comfy pants
- Sandals (no socks if possible)
Also… cut the tags out of your outfits ahead of time. Nothing pulls you out of a photo faster than a tag peeking out where it shouldn’t be. 😅
Fit > Size (Always)
Listen. Sizing is a mess. Across every brand.
So instead of focusing on the number… focus on the fit.
If you’ve never had a proper bra fitting, this is your sign!
A well-fitting piece will:
- Enhance your natural curves
- Feel more comfortable
- Photograph so much better
And most importantly, it will help you relax into your body instead of adjusting things every five seconds.
Real Talk… You’re Probably Overthinking This
I say this with so much love.
You do not need 10 outfits.
You do not need to spend hundreds of dollars.
You do not need to look like anyone else.
You just need a few pieces that make you feel like you.
And I’ll take care of the rest. 💕
